DescriptionThe annual Tamworth Summer Festival is now nearly upon us and there is a wide range of activities going on for all to enjoy. With over 40 stalls, a packed stage, loads of free activities spread across 7 main zones and discount admission to the castle it promises to be one to remember whatever the weather The line up on the day is as follows:- 12.30pm Scruffy Mutts - Beauty in the eyes of the owner 1.00pm Must Have Mongrels -"designer dogs" welcome as long as they don't have a pedigree 1.30pm Tamworth’s Got Talent - Any dancing dogs or tricks to show off! 2.30pm Handsomest Pedigree - this one's for the boys 3.00pm Junior Handler - Will your dog obey any basic commands from your child? 3.30pm Cutey Pups - Up to 18 months dogs & bitches 4.00pm Golden Oldies - 7 years & over 4.30pm Second Chances - Have you given a rescue a home, we'd love to meet them Entry £1.00 per class (terms & conditions apply) On the day they will be collecting donations for the home, this includes; dog food, treats, toys, leads, collars, blankets, towels, sheets, bleach, disinfectant, dustpans, brooms, mops, wool for knitting into dog coats. DescriptionTamworth Castle is the number one heritage attraction located in the town centre of Tamworth. Six wealthy and influential families have owned the castle over the centuries. The medieval motte and bailey castle has welcomed a number of royal visitors including King Henry II, King James I and his son Prince Charles . The ancient sand stone tower and shell wall still dominate views of the Castle today. Whilst visiting this scheduled ancient monument witness the magnificant late medieval Great Hall, grand Tudor Chambers and Victorian suit of receptions rooms.
